“FOREST IN KATHU WATERFALLS” by Ids, Arkanay and Champski P J

Phuket is more than just its beaches.

This mural explores the 'inland beauty' found where Phuket Town meets Kathu, celebrating the waterfalls and hidden wilderness away from the sea.

The artists playful characters interact with local flora and fauna to illustrate a vital balance:

"Enjoying nature without leaving a mark. It’s a call to adventure, wrapped in a message of conservation reminding us to explore with care, so these wonders remain for the next generation."

A notable figure in the Phuket art scene, Ids is widely recognised for his nostalgic canvases that reinterpret the bold commercial aesthetics of 1980s Thailand. In a significant departure from his studio work, this large-scale mural translates his signature style onto a grander stage.

Working with fellow artists Arkanay and Champski P J, they place their own iconic characters within the lush, hidden landscapes of the Kathu waterfalls to create a powerful statement on environmental stewardship.

The work serves as both an invitation and a plea: to enjoy the island’s inland wonders, but to approach them with the same care and gentle attention we owe to the heritage that shaped us.
