Why we started this thing
We created Red T Multiplies because we wanted to find a better way of selling art and supporting artists.
We have always been advocates for doing things differently. Never really gone down a well trodden path, have been misunderstood at conventional tables and Red T Multiples is a celebration of what we have learnt. It’s understanding how we all love different bits of things. It’s a coming together of the tough-route-to-people-pleasing for artists and the tastes of a buyer. It’s owning your style and being able to extract it from what is already out there. It’s finding your joy in art and being able to take it home with you.
We wanted to create a way for each individual to appreciate the great work artists do and not worry if the physicality of it doesn’t fit with their practical requirements, or if only one section of the original sings to them. We wanted to create a platform for artists to make money by putting their incredible creativity out there and share it with the world to spark further creativity.
Our artists get that. They share our vision for a world of creative energy and pride in our differences. They want you to be able to see their work as something you can engage with and see how it connects with you personally. Only you can see your perfect and now, thanks to our collective vision, you can create it and own it as a piece of fine art, with an artist’s stamp of approval.
We first knew we were really on to something when we started working with our genius printer here in Hong Kong. We were cropping a work by the amazing Guan Yi and the printer got totally carried away and involved in the process and said; ‘this is amazing because it allows everyone to be a creator’.
And he’s right.
The art work in our Red T Multiples collection is all fully licensed and available to be cropped and resized so that our users can be part of the creative process of finding their perfect art work. They can be inspired by what inspires them; colours, forms, size, movement, and just take the bits that speak to them.
One of the things that makes art a market, is rarity. It’s a precious and incredible thing to have a piece of art that is completely unique. Now it is possible for everyone to affordably own a piece of art that is uniquely them, and that celebrates their differences, because we love different.
